How to Use
Turn any time into the three systems your hardware actually speaks: GPS, NTP and TAI. The leap second offset is applied automatically.
Steps
Paste a Unix timestamp, a GPS second count, or an NTP second count.
Set the direction if you are entering GPS or NTP time directly.
Click Convert and read every system at once.
The systems compared
GPS time counts seconds since 6 January 1980 and runs ahead of UTC by 19 seconds.
GPS week number and seconds of week, the pair GNSS receivers report.
NTP timestamps count seconds since 1 January 1900, with a fractional part.
TAI is the atomic time scale, currently 37 seconds ahead of UTC.
Features
The 37 second TAI minus UTC offset is the value in force since 2017.
The NTP fraction is shown both as a count and as 32 bit hex.
The full 64 bit NTP value is rendered as two hex words.
